Neighbor has a 1990 Dodge ramcharger in mint condition. He is wondering what a good asking price would be for it. I hope to have it up for sale for him at my old 4x4 website by tommorrow:

Owner just told me the vin tag says 11/89. Also it was a show truck when he bought it new back in 1990...

Owners name is Karl, and his # is 250-791-6666

I'd rather not bug him, not in a position to buy just yet, but did he figure out an asking price?
I told the wife that when the time comes, i'd rather pay outright cash for a rig like this than finance a newer crappy SUV soccer mobile for 5 years.

Everything from my mud truck would swap right over. Although the old lady probably wouldn't be interested in packing around a ladder every time she mall crawled.

He wanted me to assess what he thinks is a good price. I'd say $3000... I'll suggest it to him.

I received an email from Karl and this is the research and reply he gave me....

Hello Corey,

as indicated in an earlier email - I saw Ramchargers for more than 10000 advertised and in a bad shape.

My truck is maintained in excellent shape.

So my opinion was all the time to get at least $ 10,000 for myself.
Kind Regards

dodge guys always think there shit is made of gold its a ram carger
3000 tops maybe and its not a removable roof

06-11-2010, 02:30 PM
Pretty much I don't think people will pay that much for those rides people just think they will so I bet either will sell. Its in nice shape but not worth 10k not even close.

06-11-2010, 11:37 PM
Well tell him to pull $8500 worth of engine, transmission and axles out of it and i'll give him $1500 for just the body, interior and frame. Seriously.

I've done the best I can...

10 g's, well I hope he likes it a lot as no one is going to spend that much on somehting like that. Perhaps if he waits long enough though he will find a person to buy it at that price but I doubt it

I could go to Mexico and get two new body style ramchargers for the same money. They changed the bodies to the 94+ rams and had them only in 2wd for a few years.

06-15-2010, 01:09 PM
Nice , but for that price , I would buy a Cummins .
