Picked up an 89 xj for a weekend warior and need some info on budget lifting it. I pretty much know what to do with the rear suspension but I'm not sure what to do with the front. Short of buying new lift springs for the front is there any other springs that would work that could be found at a wrecker? I'm aiming for about a 3" lift for now untill I decide where to go with the build. Is there any other changes that need to be made to the suspension besides the obvious like brake lines sway bars etc.

V8 grand Cherokee coils and coil spacers in the front and upgrade the track bar and track bar bracket, the Rubi one is good and Bryson at Jerp thrills can get them, they work really well too,

80s/90s F-150 coils give about 3", but ride pretty stiff.

I think I'm going to try the F150 coils and the dakota rear leafs. If I don't like it I can always change it later. For now it will give me the clearance I need for the tires. Just have to figure out what shocks will work for me.

stock YJ front shocks, and stock ZJ rear shocks. You'll have to press out the bar pins on the bottom, not hard to do though.
