whats the lowest spring rate coils.
i bought bds 6" coils cause i was told they were soft. they're actually above 400lbs so fawk that i returned 'em.

i dont think bds/skyjacker/superlift makes soft stuff do they?

if nothing available for an f150, im told early bronco coils are the same diameter and may have a softer selection from different companies?

i'm not haulin weight, got an inline6 and standard transmision so not too heavy, and i dont care about handling.

ttb have alot higher spring rate than solid axle , so that could be right for you.

I have no idea what the standard spring rate is for the TTB axle, or if you need to go this soft but...
if you can run early Bronco coils, here's some dual rate ones you might like:

Also, if you can run EB coils, you can also run XJ coils, Ranger coils and even, God help us, Aerostar coils - I'm pretty sure they're under 150lbs/in!

hmm decent i will ask about deavers and these wildhorse dualrates.

im told eb coils will work, i assume as long as they are the same diameter and thickness. im looking for around 300lbs if possible. i think BDS and skyjacker are above 400.

ima go to ford tomorow to figure out about EB coils and if they're interchangeable. unless google solves the issue.

if EB coils work, that means XJ coils will work for sure? maybe a stiff XJ coil would be soft on mine.

Okay, so here's what I've got for ya:

XJ Lift Coils:
Rusty's 9" lift - 180lbs/in and 23.5" uncompressed

EB Lift Coils:
Deaver 5.5" lift - 190lbs/in and 23" uncompressed
Wild Horse Dual Rate - 1st 236lbs/in 2nd 375lbs/in and 23" uncompressed

Aerostar coils:
(stock) - 101lbs/in and 18.69"uncompressed

I know I've got some more applicable spec somewhere (Ranger and so forth) but I'm tired and I don't feel like searching anymore for now but I'll post more later for ya...

rear. Front are short stiff useless things.

yup... rear indeed. I've only know one guy who likes the Aerostar coils. He runs a Nissan Hardbody that 3-linked front & rear. The rig has only a spare tire over the axle - no box, no tools, no recovery gear...
He gets amazing flex and a good ride but I've heard of guys putting them in Pathfinders only to have them sag terribly due to their super low spring rate. So if you're gonna go Aerostars you'd better be very light!
