Very strange indeed. :confused0006:

I have a drive line vibration and a squeal in reverse in my Dodge diesel and figured it for a u-joint. I jacked up the back end to confirm and the sound is coming from inside my driveshaft?? There is also a slight wobble to the driveshaft as well. The rear drive shaft is in perfect shape with no dents or flat spots.

Never heard of a drive shaft going out of round without it being hit :dontknow:

Anyone know how to get mice out of the drive shaft?

you have a rusty u=joint, the sound is transfrering through the shaft, take it out and spin all the cups, bet one is seized.

a nice dry joint sounds about right.are they greasable?

had to replace a greasable one recently cause one of the holes was plugged so it didnt lube the cap and it squeaked then turned into a shudder.

I find it hard to believe that you actually have mice in your drive shaft

It's probably the muffler bearings ...or have youtopped up the Halogen fluid??

It's a U joint
