Well Friday was fun started at 430 am so we could get our selves to the Ferry on time .. While in the Q we bump into the Herd Or Turtles they also heading to the same area :mad: all 14 of them we hear then they ended staying elsewhere THANKGOD ..Friday of course was a mad storm but with great company we had a riot !!!! Sat was fun in the sun all day the area is fun to explore ..DO NOT DO THIS TRAIL WITHOUT A LOCKER !!!!!! Unless you wish to winch all the way back up !! . I didnt take my cam but here are the cell picks I did get !! Also big thanks to the rest of the crew Me and Linda had an awesome time !!![cheers]

was a great trip gnarly trail but was great all around weekend, definatley somewhere I want to go again [5]

Definitely a cool spot. Too bad about the mess hall burning down...it was so big you could pitch a tent up inside and it had a fireplace. I wonder if it would be worthwhile to clean up the old gymnasium and pull out all the machinery and make a group shelter out of it....what does it look like now???
Has a creek too for a Hot tub and showers.

That first long hill climb out of there is a bitch, like trying to drive on bowling balls.

no you wont be using any of the huts etc they are comming down ..totaly unsafe and I know the one you mean also

I would say the old gym is salvageable, it would need some careful trimming around the base as that is what is rotted out, but the main frame is very very strong and fresh with lots of cross bracing.... It would be a fun project...

get ahold of the "super map" they sell em once you get across and it's real easy. from the ferry it's about 3 hours if some dummy takes a left turn and everyone has to turn around in the snow:dontknow:
