Squishy and I went to my cabin march 3rd to 7th we also drove into 150 mile house ten to williams lake and then quesnel. On our drive home we took enterprise road from 150 mile to the cabin (it around dog creek area) except by the time e drove through it was dark out and lots of snow and ice on the roads so we didnt get to see the scenery :( We stayed at my cabin for a few days Little Big Bar Lake just out side of clinton. From the Cabin we drove the Jesmond Road to Kelly Lake we wanted to do the Pavillion road but going up the hill it was a sheet of ice and breaks werent doing anything so we decided not to risk it since we have never travelled that back road before. So back onto hwy 97 then to Hat creek ranch to the turn off to heads towards Lilooett, form Lilooet we did the ducky lake road and ended up in pemberton then headed home through whistler and down the sea to sky highway was an awsome week of adventures, sorry the pictures are late i took over a 1000 pics and had to go through them haha Enjoy :):)

To many to feed on that reserve. They used to have a really busy horse ranch and butcher. Now they dont seem to be slaughtering them anymore.

thats because they are trying to stop horse slaghter in canada!!! for once we are actually following a smart decision made by the usa.. they have banned horse slaughter for human consumption

nope and dont care too... horse slaughter in my eyes is wrong... cattle and chickens are raised as a animal for us here, i dont agree with how they are inhumanly killed in some slaughter houses but thats another topic.. horses are a recreational animal they are here for people to ride and to do work... not to eat... most canadians dont even eat horse most of the horse met goes over seas to other countries where it is eaten and at a very expensive cost at that for the meat... if you look at a cattle feed lot and then at a horse feed lot u can see a huge diffrece... most over sea countries want thin horses whith barely any fat on the meat.. so the horses here are kept thin... japan is one of the only coutnries that wants a thicker fattier meat so they use the draft horses... most people here dont eat dogs right.. thats because they are a working animal not a meat animal... it sthe same with horses.. if it wasnt for horses how would the field been plowed?? how would people have gotten anywhere besides walkign on their own 2 feet?? horses helped creat countries and roads even helped in war.. so why eat them??????

but this isnt what my thread is about so lets go back to the pictures and the trip and not horse slaughter... its not something i enjoy talking about and i know everybody is entitled to their own opinion but can we please avoid it in my thread

Nice country out there. If there was more horse slaughter maybe there wouldnt be so mant starving horses around? You just see alot of people trying to do the right thing and taking in to many that they cant afford to feed. Anyways cool pics!

It was Awesome !

Two of the best years of my life... Just wish I could have spent more time there, instead of driving all over BC fixing logging machines...
