ignition module maybe

thats what i was thinking, my old jeep had the same problem an i thought it was the ignition but turns out it was one of the power wires that connect to the fuse box under the hood, it was shorting out

ya i donno the kid i got it from was stupid he thought it was the fule pump , i told him if it was the fule pump it would just die and wouldnt start again till ya fixed it usually fule pumps dont just glitch they just GO , ya im not a jeep guy i just thought it could be a sensor or something specific to jeep , if it was a ford im shure i wouldnt have a problem fixin it lol

thanx guys [cheers]

Yes they do go weird... I had the same problem except mine would only go a minutbor two then die...I did all the tests and the fuel pump was losin signal yet everything was checking fine.... Still a mystery... So we took out the relay and just jumped the por with a wire an yes my fuel pump is running at 35 psi or whatever start pressure is but it works and it drives an wheels and we are still stumped on the issue...

Give it a shot pull the fuel pump relay an jump the plug so it's at start pressure as soon as ignition hits...

Whatever was sending the signal to kick te fuel pump down to running psi just stopped sending the signal.... But everything in and around it related to that tests good

Good luck[cheers]

You'd have to think ground somewhere if no sputter... Time for new terminals and jazz..
