Gonna start gatherin the pieces for a cummins 6BT swap into the Ford, company called Destroked makes all the parts in a kit to just bolt it in using my existing 6 speed auto, and then thinkin maybe that the V10 in ther now might just make a good powerplant for the next buggy project. Its rated at 370 horse and almost 500 foot pounds of torque. I will have the full harness and everything to go with the motor so why not use it.

the only reason you buy a dodge is because of the motor, the rest of the truck is a piece.

Cummins cleans house on the powerjokes, and I am a ford man. The 7.3 is only still any good cause they made such a boat anchor after it in the 6.0. Cummins in a ford is a good idea. I've done it, and helped others. making the ford electrical work with the cummins is the rorst part, but that's usually how it goes.

Go with the second gen P-pump..cheap easy reliable horsepower.

Freightliner is a good truck, but if you want a REAL truck, step up to a Kenworth c500, now your talking THE truck [36]

A cummins in a ford is the perfect truck.
Fords have nice interiors...the dodge has a HUGE blind spot from the pillar and it still feels like a tractor inside!
Post a build thread..........

Im not a dodge guy, but a cummins has 3x the potential of the 7.3 power wise.

Theres something wrong with your 7.3 if the exhaust is sucking. You might want to look into that. But then again its a ford, its always sucking. [cheers]
