So the front has a tag which is a Dana 60 now the rear does not have a tag on it like the front how else can I found out whats in the rear?????? I think from what that web site tells me I have a Dana 80 in the rear but want to confirm it. Are there any other #'s from the axle that will tell me?

thanx

i believe its a dana 80 for the standard trucks and a 70 for the auto..but u should have a tag inside the glove box that will tell u

cant find a tag any where in the glove box but its a 97 ram 2500 manual which every thing I read tells me its a Dana 80 so I guess Ill go with that but would still like some #'s off the diff to confirm it.

No. The d 80 splits at 3:73-4:10. You can get a spacer to go from 410 to the taller sets, but you can't go the other way without a special ordered gearset, so I've been told. Last part I've heard about, but not sure. I do know about the split cause I had 3:54 and swaped with a friend for some 4:10 and he had to give up a possi in the deal.
