hey just wondering looking at picking up a 8.8 from muddy mud skipper from a 86 f-150 now im 99 percent sure that axle will work for my swap but was wondering about the 44 ttb would that work to cant find a thread about the front so just wondering if these two axles will work for the swap? thanks

the ford has an ifs front and ur jeep has a solid axel why change it and its to wide its fullsize diffs

Yeah...that axle is gona be way wide for an XJ....I'd recommend finding a 8.8 from a Exploder......only a half inch width difference, same bolt pattern (not so for the full sized Ford axle) as the front D30....no having to change wheels etc.

look for rear disk and 31 slpine it is preferable

explorer ranger 8.8 is what you want for rear and as far as front you will want early bronco 44 or a waggy 44
