I've been a Toyota guy for the past few years but couldnt pass up the deal on the Cherokee. 1996 Sport, out of state registration. Going to see if I can get it to pass a VI before modding. If not, its the new buggy for the bush.

I went over the vi forms and figured out what I all need. Now I gotta debate if its worth the time and effort or not.

Needs Lights: passenger signals, markers, license plate lights, dome light
passenger inner tie-rod
adjust t-case linkage (pops out of 4-low)
windshield is cracked
tranny oil pump leak (big job but will pass vi as is)
exaust has a loose hanger
serpentine cracked
No battery tie-downs and posts loose (never asked about them)
I have drl's wired up

The biggest issue is the transmission.

edit: I need a federal inspection too. GAY fucking cash grab

If i didn't see the Canadian Tire in the background of one of those pics i would almost swear it looks like Mexico. Dumpsters, old oil drums, old Fords, dirt parking lot, scafolding on the stucco building, etc... If that what you mean by "Out of State"?
