Well since the crash on the toy run its been a stressfull couple weeks of wondering what will happen to Jeep [2b]

sure wish i had a garage  and time...would make this so much easier

at current i had it towed from icbc to sport trucks unlimited where i can trust cj mike will take good care of it

it will be inspected thursday by them and sent to a frame shop to make sure the frame is ok .

my concerns are

did the dana 44 survive
is the frame ok
what is hidden

the fucked list is

front leafs
u bolts
front dr shaft possibly rear cv shaft
t-case
tie rods

now the fun part

will icbc write it off ???

its a 91 yj and they go for about 3-6 grand stock

what will icbc offer if it is a write off

i have about 7000 in receipts in the last few years

guess i find out soon enough

will post progress here

My biggest concern is, do you have armorall ?

receipts only matter if you had additional insurance on those parts. At least that is waht they told my when I had a MVA in my truck.

good luck, maybe it will come back as a toyota :)

Receipts do help, better than no receipts, so do good photos. I have been through this same shit. Receipts that show regular maintenance will help show that it was well taken care of, therefore has value. Receipts for bolt on parts dont mean much if they are not damaged.
It also helped me to show ICBC photos/for sale ads of some other 'similar' Jeeps to show 'market worth' as opposed to 'blue book' value.

Hope this helps
Good luck with ICBC, I know what your going through, stressful, not fun.

PS: FWIW, I have a mechanic that I visit fairly regularly, I had him write up a letter for me attesting to the fact that my Jeep was very well maintained and he included a detailed 'service history' printout with the letter. Every bit helps.

If they write it off, make sure they let you keep it.

Great news! I assume the D44 survived then? What an amazing surprize to NOT be screwed by ICBC! Congrats, can't wait to see that rig on the trails.
