Got kind of a weird problem going on in my 94 XJ. when I come to a stop there is a little clunk and the vehicle kinda jumps (minor) forward. It's almost like I'm getting hit in the rear. If I feather the brakes bringing the vehicle to a stop, it doesn't usually happen but will also sometimes occur when taking off. Kinda feels like sticking brakes even. I checked the shoes in the rear and couldn't see anything. My only guess is wheel cylinders which at a glance looked ok, but maybe they're still shot? Anybody ran into this problem before?

if you think its the brakes did you make sure you had all the proper springs an clips still in your back brakes or see if the front bolts came loose on the front

check all your control arm bushings, my upper axle end bushings hammered out, same thing it would kinda clunk and then stop, sometimes screech the the briefly then stop. My rear brakes used to lock up whn cold on the 8.8 (drum) I had to machine the drums and install new shoes- problem went away.

check your calipers in the front. the hardware may have backed out and the caliper could be shifting

Could be one or both of the ball joints on their way out

B your avatar is rather distracting. I almost forgot why I even came on here once I saw that lol.

I'll check the control arm bushings.
