Where are you xj guys mounting your hi-lift jacks? After needing one and not having one,I will always be carrying one. I have zero room in the cargo area, when I go out i've been buckling it into the rear seatbelts. My spare tire carrier isn't strong enough to mount to. Was thinking about welding some mounts to my front bumper, but that would mean its very exposed to the elements. Any ideas?

Mine was on the front of my Toyota for years, White lithium grease is your friend.:D

Had mine in a plastic hi-lift box strapped to the roof. Easy to get to without unpacking everything else inside, moisture will still get to it but like Toddler said, White Lithum grease will help.

I don't carry one anymore. The stock Toyota bottle jack works just fine !!

But doesn't look half as cool bolted to your truck.[22]

I strap mine down right inside the hatch where the plastic meats the carpet or you can get the hi lift mounting tabs and bolt it at the cowel vents :D

hrm I was watching this episode of Trucks a while back, the guys made custom brakets for a high lift and mounted it inside the Jeep on the right side of the hatch area just below the window....looked pretty slick.

you can make brackets and use lge hose clamps and mount it to rear upper roll bar.Make sure it is secure, fits up there nicely...

If I had a highlift, I'd mount mine in the hatch area......keep it nice and protected from the elements :)

you dont need a high lift, a factory bottle jack would lift your stock truck :happy0045:
