Well I totally rebuilt my transmission, so where else would you test it but out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by snow. So a buddy and I went on the hunt for it yesterday. We decided to hit up our favorite area Norrish as we'd heard conflicting reports as to it being gated or not.
Well, no snow or gates yet.... looking positive for gates and negative for snow

Hmmm still no snow, but here's the new gate we heard about, and it's open!

Well our luck had to run out, no snow and a locked gate.

We turned back and headed up a side trail by the water towers. We were in luck, we found snow

Not much to do there though, so we decided to head on over the Chehalis to head up towards Margaret Crk pass, well that too was not an option either as it's been blocked and trenched

We decided to carry on down the Statlu fsr to see what we could find

http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq109/inder_photos/Statlu/100_0057.jpg
Well we found some more snow to play in.

getting a little slippage

It drove great, I was actually joking and said minus 3 due to how the tire looked. But now that I think about it, it was aired down to the very first marking on the ARB tire deflator which I believe is 3 psi, but who knows how accurate that really is when it's that low. When we crossed a rocky creek bed on our way out, that irok looked like it was about to come off, so we aired back up to around 15 psi

yeah those gates suck, Norrish was a great winter playground. My truck was really never off the road, after I overheated it in the summer I threw some fresh fluid in it and she shifted great all the way up until it came out, I did lose over drive though so that kept me from taking her out until I thoroughly went over that tranny, a guy can only pay so many $400 flatdeck fees home from Harrison! :D

They're frikking awesome, way better than the LTB's I have or the BFG's that I ran prior to these. My buddy is locked front & rear on 36 Iroks and he said his truck felt like it was laboring a bit breaking trail. I took over the lead for a while and they just kept on crawlin with little to no effort. My only downfall is that I'm open in the front and posi locked in the rear so on some steeper inclines I tend to dig in and do a 1 tire fire in the snow and wind up going nowhere. Still debating whether I should rape my Ranger for it's lockers and throw'em in the exploder.
