We went out for a snow recon and lunch yesterday. Was a great day up there and my old dog (like just about 16 yrs old) had his last good snow outing. As the day went on he started to get worse, he has had congestive heart failure issues for a while now. He passed on driving down the mountain....but he had fun in his favorite white stuff one last time [36] R.I.P. Summit we'll all miss you buddy

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I feel for you, as I have lost too many good buddies myself. They become family and pass so quick. 16 yrs is a long life and he looked like he had a great family to call his own. As has been said already, he had a great last day.
RIP Summit

RIP Summit. He had a smile on his face and thats all that matters. A lot of dogs don't get the chance to have a passing like that.

Glad he passed on doing what he loved best. Good on ya for not confining him to the house just cause he was old and you were worried.

Thanks for all the well wishes guys....he was an outside dog from day one, no way I could keep him inside. Just went over to the nieghbors for a toast to the old dog...she walked him for me cuz i work a lot. The hole neighborhood loved the old bugger. he was a great old boy and will be missed by many.
