anyone know where the reverse switch on a 90xj 5 speed would be? need to replace it or get the switch working so that we can wire up my backup lights properly instead of a switch,

I think it's part of the NSS (neutral safety switch)
Here's a link on the rebuild, and a link for the adjustment,
try teh adjustment 1st.
tip for removal without damage: thread a bolt 1/2 on and use it to pry the unit
straight off (take out the 12mm nut 1st)

hope this helps, I've done mine 3 times now

Oh read the above , as it explained the adjustment of the NSS as well (which you might JUST need to do)

on the passenger side mid way up the trani. should have two wires coming out of it. ive melted the connector on mine a couple times from it falling on the exhaust (the lights arnt even hooked up so I really dont care) its fairly large, same size as the fill/drain plug
