Found this tcasae at the local dump. Thought I'd pull it apart this winter to see whats wrong with it. Any idea what its for? I wonder what the gear ratio is?

It is a 205 and it's passenger side drop so that would make it a Dodge or a GM tcase. I don't know those guys as well as the Jeeps but I don't remember GM using divorced 205s so my bet would be on Dodge.

Low range ratio on a 205 would be 1.99:1

it does have some np features, but not an np205 IMO
rails are all wrong, PTO pattern is way off, the countershaft is different
this page has some div np205 images

NP202? It's an IH thing, I think. Or something... One could probably look at the casting numbers and gleam something.

A pass side drop and judging by the case, it's a dana 20, or at least it sure looks like the one I had. Mine was a ford setup but the casting sure looks similar. A 205 it is not. International is a good possibility. hd t-case with whimpy u-joints, sounds like international.

I thought that at first too.
but isn't the preload shims on the back of a Dana 20 (front output bearing) the same as a dana 300? in lookks anyway.
the big housing ring on the back of the front outut is what mde me think np205
