Buddy has 97 tj needs trans, what other years and models will fit,5 speed.

help us out here what engine is in front of the 5 speed 2.5 or 4.0 ? ...

4.0 and it wont go into gear. no grinding no noise just cant push in period.
at first i thought clutch but no grinding at all. ????????? iwhen the transfer case is in nutruel it shifts but only then. once again??????????

Probably the clutch not the trans. Those AX15 trannys won't grind if you try to force them into gear without the clutch while sitting still and running, they will just not go into gear. Do you know how to speed match engine and tranny to shift without a clutch (big rig shifting style) if you do try putting it in gear then start it up and try to drive without a clutch you can see if there is a tranny problem that way.

if it needs a clutch we have had problems with the fenco's don't use them ... give me a call and i can get cha a good deal on a luk ... i have had zero problems with em and you get to keep the stock pedal feel not like a centerforce were by the end of the day you have a left leg like arnold
