Well, its time to figure out what I am going to do with my little jeep, during my vacation I blew the rearend out (Dana 35 gearing was 3.07).

I picked up another axle real quick so I could finish my trip. Gearing on this one I found out is 3.55 hmmmm.

Looked at my junk pile and found out (forgot) that I have both front and back axles from a previous deal dana 35 and dana 30 with 4.11 gears.

My question is which way should I go with this ?
Should I just put another 3.07 in the rear, go 3.55 in the front to match the rear, or just swap out the axles and put the 4.11's in? Choices, choices.

I am running 33's with a 2" lift but will be doing a 4" lift sometime this winter. AMC 304 with AX15 tranny.

do the 4.11 gears for now it will help with the 33s and when you put the v8 in it will be even better,

go with the 4:10's for sure then swap the rear to a ford 8.8 out a exploder when you have the cash errrrr wait a tic thats a yj with a cj front clip ... so it's not really a cj then ? ... what bolt pattern are your rims ? ... maybe you just have it insured as a 81 ?>

What a good eye you have there, I swapped some of my CJ parts over to a YJ brought in in for inspection, licenced as a CJ so I dont loose my "no door" policy.
So bolt pattern on rims are that from a YJ.
Also made sure doors were off during inspection and they marked it as N/A

k then start looking for a 8.8 from a exploder with come from the factory with 4:10 or 3:73's so find a 4:10 one and then you can start to have some fun with it
