if anybody cares i did dual alts recently on my cherokee

only things i had to purchase was another alt bracket and some washers

she fit like a glove heres the pics

its about time that you posted SOMETHING about the alternator relocation...jeeze, hows it charging with the dual alternators?

well i havent hooked up the top 1 electrical wise been wheeling and working to much ..........i havent had any pulley issues ill do the electrical in a couple weeks when i get a damn day off other wise its been good havent had issues

oh the belt i used was 101 inches

i went with a tighter belt so less slipage in water and shit im going to toss a 136 amper out of a dakota or something on top eventually to many projects on the go lifting it bigger,stroker,finish alts bla bla

Your top bracket is different than mine mine has 4 bolts going down

My '89 is the same on that bracket too....looks like an idea if I ever add an electrically powered self recovery item.....

yes 89s are the same i mainly did it because i want the top 1 as my main alt
and im runnin dual batterys alt for a winch and lights i hate getting the bottom soaked suck 3 alts in 4 months no more

This might be a question that'll make you think, what was the part number of the belt you used noting that it'll definitely be a different length than the OE belt.

yea jj yours will be different because you have a 92 this mod was done on a pre 91 xj, different setups renix system non-HO engine your is a H.O engine,dont worry we`ll figure it out,

That worked a couple of times but my alt was screaming for about two months then that was it

Im glad I stumbled upon this!!!!!! i run outta juice on a long run ! anyone know if thats a stock renix era alt he used? how do you wire this? it shuld be internally regulated

I rebuilt my bracket on my 95 engine and put a 135amp alt from a 2000 Cherokee on mine!

Just saying instead of having 2 shitty jeep alt

fuck i couuld use my engine to power alternators..and the fluxcapacitor
....to charge batterys to power shocking devices to motivate the hamsters on the wheels to run faster probably giving me more hp than i have now.....

Flux capacitors are to heavy
You need a flutter stat to modulate the flutters
Then that sucker could fly
