I have an 06 Ram 2500 5.7 Hemi quad 4x4 with 134K, apparently it needs valve guide seals already. Anyone else here had any issues with oil burning on cold start up's? Mine is like my old chev.....puff of blue every morning....damn anoying for a newer truck.

how much smoke are you getting? A puff, or lots? A puff is normal, especially as the temperature gets colder. If it's lots, then you're looking at a leaky injector, a blowby tube that's clogged, or a PCM problem.

Most mornings just a small puff of blue, on occasion a fairly large one. I can't see any oil burning when it's warm but it has also started using oil on short trips, (25k trips too and from work, so far 4+L in 4000k). longer trips with a load it doesn't seem to use any. 2400k round trip to the interior with a camper and trailer and no oil used.
