I got a low end knock only when the motor is cold and goes away if you increase rpms doesn't burn oil compression check came out ok. Took apart the motor found a few bad lifters replaced them all did the rod bearings. Took off the belt to see if it was any of pulleys. I hate to rebuild it since the only thing that is wrong is the noise when its cold.

Yeah thats what I'm doing I'm just wondering if its a common problem if I could figure out exactly what it was I'd just fix it just for the fact I'd get rid of the noise.

or not use a deisel oil like 15w40 ,most use 20w50 and it could be a bottom end bearing use a stethascope to determine where it is coming from for sure

:confused0006: Hmm could be a little cold "piston slap" I wouldnt worry about it that much...but I would let it warm up everytime I ran it until the slap went away
