Hoola, question...

I have the teraflex read disk conversion on my xj, work great BUT..
the caliper shims are gone on both sides now..makes for a scary sound
if you don't know what it is. I can live with it but it scares teh heck outta thouse around me.

I understand this is a "89-98" ford explorer conversion that teraflex has packaged ..what my question is..

Do I have to buy new pads to get the shims ? or is there something I can ask for at lordcoholdplase (use the full company name) ?

Makes no sense to me to buy new brake pads when all I want are shims.

You used to be able to buy just the shims. I remember delivering them. I heard of people just using RTV sealant on the back of the pads to keep them stuck to the caliper pistons.
