Summary Details:
The Ministry of Forest and Range (MFR) invites proposals from firms specializing in the
deactivation and rehabilitation of old roads on steep mountainous terrain for EN10V2H-402
Norrish Creek Road Deactivation Project. The objective of the project is to stabilize hill
slopes and reduce the occurrence of landslides by deactivating old roads in the project
area. The Norrish Creek Road Deactivation project is located approximately 2.3 kilometres
northeast of the town of Dewdney to where the Norrish Creek Forest Service Road starts.
The roads to be rehabilitated are located in various sub-drainages of the Norrish Creek
Community Watershed.

Information packages will only be available on the BC Bid website; if required MFR may
post addendum(s) to the Request For Proposals (RFP) on the BC BidŽ website at
http://www.bcbid.ca. Proponents are strongly encouraged to select "Send Me Amendments"
that is included as an option on the Opportunity Notice published on BC BidŽ. By
selecting this option a registrant will be automatically notified of any amendment that
may be issued. Proponents that are not registered with BC BidŽ may register by selecting
Start your e-Service, Supplier Registration on the BC BidŽ home page, www.bcbid.ca.
Proponents who do not register with BC BidŽ are solely responsible to continually monitor
the BC BidŽ website on an ongoing basis to keep themselves informed of any addendum.

Questions and Answers: To ensure consistency of answers all contract related questions

Mandatory Site Viewing
A proponent's mandatory Site Viewing is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. August 11, 2009. The
intent is to provide the prospective proponents an opportunity to view the site from a
helicopter; however in the event that weather will not permit a flight to occur there will
be an alternative office viewing.

Prospective bidders must register their intention to participate in the Site Viewing by
contacting Heather Thompson at the Chilliwack District Office by 4:00 P.M. August 6, 2009
(phone: (604) 702 5707).

Proponents must register on the day of the scheduled helicopter site viewing or office
viewing with the Chilliwack District Office receptionist no later than 09:45 A.M. August
11, 2009 as per the wall clock at the reception area at the address below.
Late registrants will not be permitted to attend the helicopter site viewing or office

Only one representative will be allowed to participate in the helicopter site viewing or
office viewing.

Pre-registration, registration on the day of the Site Viewing and attendance is Mandatory.

Changes to the viewing format and/or schedule may be made by the Ministry and it is the
proponent's responsibility to maintain communication with the Chilliwack District Office
regarding viewing arrangements.

Proposals will be received not later than 4:00 P.M. August 24, 2009, as per the wall clock
at the reception area at the address below. Late proposals will not be accepted.
Proposals must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the
information package.
