My '04 ram has the stock pipes on it and its not loud enough. Anyone changed their muffler for something with better sound? If so what?
Thanks Dave

dynomax is the only one I trust these days
OEM stuff is all stainless, most of the aftermarket stuff will rot off.
better to leave it alone

Not on that. Unless you want it to sound like...... you have no muffler. It will sound like shit. Dynomax is good.

Thanks for the info. Any rough ideas on prices for the dynomax? And can I just swap out the stock muffler with the dynomax or do I need a new tail pipe also? The truck has the quiet exhaust right now and it doesn't even sound like a hemi. It needs to be changed now.

hrm one of the trucks at the shop I work at actually sounded like it had a Flowmaster or Dynomax under it when the pipe broke before the muffler, sounded so good (and not loud either) that I am considering straight piping that, it's a '91 F150 with the 5.0 in it....reg cab long box, Never know until you disconnect the muffler, if it's flanged, go for it for fun, see what it sounds like and how loud it is.
