So... driving the dodge the other day and I hear a snaaaap, cruuunch, grrrrrriiiiind and the truck jumps. All this comming from the left front spindle. While continuing to drive it goes away.. for a while. Then griiiiiinds and then squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel all the way home. Can't wait to take it off and see the mess and the $$$$$$ its going to cost to fix this. Waiting on the fucking 45mm socket to get herer Sat.

Anyone else ever have something blow up in the front of thier Dodge 3500 hubs??? Should I order a whole new diff now or just all the bearings and hub? Fuck!

See ya sat Chris!

what year is it? does the truck have warrenty?

check the ball joints, you will likely need a new bearing, shafts, and u-joint. the bj's might have gone bad, which led to the rest.

Its a hub and bearing assembly $$$$$ I have the socket. They are not fun to change, so far everyone I've done has been siezed in the knuckle.

Sorry Nick that is absolutely the wrong way to get those unit bearings off especially if you are trying to reuse the unit bearing, you can by a tool, or make one out of heavy wall tubing, it fits on the head of the unit bearing bolts, you loosen the bolts and use this tool by placing it between the unit bearing bolt and the inner knuckle C and press out the unit bearing by turning the steering and squeezing the tool between the bearing bolt and inner C
