Here's what Mowson Pond looks like now. I was up here last weekend. These are the only pictures I took before my batteries died on the camera.

Wow looks allot different now. All part of nature tho. Doesnt forest fire put nitrogen into the lakes? I have heard fire is a good thing for lakes.

Forest fires do do some good. They also release tree seed, which makes for new healthy trees... Mother nature has a weird way of making things better...

There were still some stumps and trees that were smoldering. Fire crews are still up there dowsing a few hot spots.

yeah if you head in on the Marshall lake road and go down the Mud creek main there are areas that look like moonscape, the area was incinerated and then right next to it there is a small green patch that did not burn...the crews will be up there until the snow flies in November and they fly the plane over daily with the sensors looking for hot spots.
