you should be able to order a premade bolt on one, if not you can make one from ABS pipe but on a nice truck it usually looks stupid. the premade kits usually look alot better on a truck

i made mine out of 2" pvc . 14 bucks and two hours. and yes i use it. the first time you end up pumping water out of yer rig you'l understand.

why ?

we have more trees than deep water crossings and if the water is that deep it's usually to fast to cross. Chance are you'll smack it against a tree before you cross water thats over 4' deep

those who are not prepared turn around and that sucks. a lot of times whats up the river or on the other side is excelent. and as far as trees go i used pvc and trees are not a problem as you can tell by the side of my heep.

A snorkel is a lot cheaper then rebuilding and engine. I've hydolocked my truck in 2 feet of water.

only because you hit it at speed ;)

id say your better to add a electric fan you can turn off so it dosen't throw water all over the engine

seal your distributor and add a cold air intake that sit's tight to the hood that way as long as the headlights are not under water your goodcause the stcok air boxes suck and if they are under water a snorkle isn't gonna help for very long anyways ...

snorkles are gay [cheers]

Heres a little video of my ramcharger in some deep water, wasnt over the hood but was enough to screw it up. It took a drink and was missing shaking the whole truck but kept it running and got it out.

After it dried out it ran fine but would overheat when sitting still think the water screwed up the clutchfan.

i got a snorkel cause i like playing in creeks and lakes and for the fact i put my truck in places it shouldnt go.. you remember that time when hotwheels fuel pump died up the creek at stave.. i was trying to follow him up there and the water was coming up an over my hood and the truck didn't like that.. almost killed it right there and then but i got out ok, after that i went an got a snorkel
