The first annual Fun in BC Pig Roast was a huge success. With over 250 people attending, the day was filled with food, games, wheeling and refreshments.

The main course was a 55 lb Oinker stuffed full of bratwurst, 5 Salmon cut up into steaks with potato salad, macaroni salad and buns. Other food cooking up was 20 pounds of chicken wings, cooked in a Cajun sauce. All tickets sold for the pig feast went into a draw for a couple bottles of CR and Opal Sambuca.

Kids games were played throughout the day. Adult games included 100 yard closest to the hole golf shot for a bottle of Bailey's won by Lizard and a 50/50 draw that was won by Sober Steve ($170.00)

There was no shortage of people having a great time.
and the order of the day seemed to be:

  • Have a sociable beer
  • Take your truck through a couple of mud holes
  • Come back play closest to the hole and win a bottle
  • Have a sociable beer
  • eat the Pig Roast
  • Have a sociable beer
  • Take your truck through a couple more mud holes
  • Sit by the fire and figure out how you're going to get your sorry-ass broken truck home.

Larry and Val came back in the morning and cooked up a breakfast feast.

This event took a number of people to make this happen and I would especially like to thank the following people for their efforts:

  • Larry for picking up and cooking the Pig and collecting tickets.
  • Val for the HUGE amount of salad that she made from scratch
  • Rich for picking up and serving the kegger!!
  • Ann for shopping for supplies and putting on the kids' events
  • John for collecting tickets

....................... once again having fun in B.C.!
