After
all how do you know what your limits are if you don't push them?
Below
is what happens when you find that point and go just a wee bit
past.
This
is as close as you can get to a roll. On a very slow night
drive in February the ditch look like a shadow. The only thing
that stopped us from rolling was the drain pipe!
This break was unfixable
on the trail. After a few tries at the hill, Bruce broke
the right- hand steering knuckle. The only thing left to
do was to call a tow truck and go back to camp and drink
a few beers.
The Stave
lake mud flats holds hours of entertainment. Here Dan from
Extreme Machines takes a wrong turn. Dan said "That shouldn't
have happened with Dana 44 wide track axles"
A trip to Placer lake
turns into a trail fixing seminar. Both Bruce's CJ5 and My
Explorer were mechanically challenge. Good thing we had Cell
coverage. A quick call to my Bro and parts were on the way.
I guess you could call
him stuck! Once again at Stave lake. The good thing at this
place is being stuck is part of the game, so there is no shortage
of people willing to help.
We let Ken sweat it out
for a few minutes before we threw him a rope. The rules say
you have to go through a few insults first!
Yes the rumour is true;
Fords do break down sometimes. Unfortunately, this was the
worst place to do it. We were in the middle of a three day
trip at the bottom of a mountain when the clutch gave out.
Story to follow!
